RAJAWALI MEMBUBUNG TINGGI

 

Bacaan : Yesaya 40:28-31

Setahun: Ulangan 23-24

Nats: ... orang-orang yang menanti-nantikan Tuhan mendapat kekuatan baru: mereka seumpama rajawali yang naik terbang dengan kekuatan sayapnya; mereka berlari dan tidak menjadi lesu, mereka berjalan dan tidak menjadi lelah (Yesaya 40:31)

 

Apa rahasia orang belajar berenang? Bagaimana mungkin dengan berat badan yang tidak ringan, seseorang bisa mengapung di air, bahkan bergerak maju dengan pelbagai gaya? Satu prinsip awal berenang ialah  belajar "percaya" pada air. Jika kita "menyerah" pada air, tubuh  kita akan menga-pung. Sebaliknya, jika kita "melawan" air, mengencangkan otot-otot sampai kaku, kita malah tenggelam. Itu kuncinya. Memercayakan diri kepada air.

 

Ayat 31 melukiskan tentang rajawali yang membubung tinggi. Rajawali  memang suka terbang tinggi, seperti dilukiskan di Perjanjian Lama. Ia terbang dan membuat sarang di ketinggian (Yeremia 49:16; Obaja 4). Ia bisa naik ke gunung Libanon; mengambil puncak pohon aras yang tinggi sekali (Yehezkiel 17:3). Padahal di ketinggian, angin berembus kuat. Bagaimana rajawali dapat terbang dengan begitu ringan dan tenang? Rupanya ia punya cara jitu. Daripada melawan angin, ia memanfaatkannya untuk bergerak bersama tiupan angin. Ia "memercayakan" diri pada dorongan angin untuk maju. Jadi, sebenarnya ia bukan terbang, melainkan melayang di ketinggian. Melayang bukan dengan kekuatannya sendiri, melainkan dorongan angin.

 

Tatkala angin kesulitan hidup menghantam, apakah tanggapan kita? Mengeluh, mengaduh, geram, marah, berteriak, menuduh orang lain, menyalahkan Tuhan-itu yang lazim. Kita melawannya dengan kekuatan sendiri. Padahal percuma. Kita akan kelelahan. Terengah-engah dan frustrasi. Kesulitan yang kian besar justru harus menjadi "kendaraan" kita untuk kian berserah, memercayakan diri pada bimbingan Tuhan. Izinkan Roh-Nya membawa kita "melayang" di tengah embusan angin persoalan --PAD

28  Tidakkah kautahu, dan tidakkah kaudengar? TUHAN ialah Allah  kekal yang menciptakan bumi dari ujung ke ujung; Ia tidak   menjadi lelah dan tidak menjadi lesu, tidak terduga  pengertian-Nya.

29  Dia memberi kekuatan kepada yang lelah dan menambah semangat  kepada yang tiada berdaya.

30  Orang-orang muda menjadi lelah dan lesu dan teruna-teruna jatuh  tersandung,

31  tetapi orang-orang yang menanti-nantikan TUHAN mendapat kekuatan  baru: mereka seumpama rajawali yang naik terbang dengan kekuatan sayapnya; mereka berlari dan tidak menjadi lesu, mereka berjalan  dan tidak menjadi lelah.

RAJAWALI soar

 

Readings: Isaiah 40:28-31

One Year: Deuteronomy 23-24

Nats: ... the people who wait for God to get a new power: those who ride flying is like an eagle with its wings strength: they run and not become sluggish, they walk and not become weary (Isaiah 40:31)

 

What are the secrets people learn to swim? How is it possible with no light weight, one can float on water, even moving ahead with various styles? One principle is to learn to swim early "believe" in the water. If we "surrender" in the water, your body will held-back. Conversely, if we are "against" the water, tighten the muscles until stiff, we are sunk. That's the key. Entrust themselves to the water.

 

Verse 31 describes the eagle that soared. Eagles are like flying high, as depicted in the Old Testament. He flew and make nests in height (Jeremiah 49:16; Obadiah 4). He can go up to Mount Lebanon; take a high tree top level once (Ezekiel 17:3). While at altitude, the wind was blowing strong. How can an eagle fly by so mild and quiet? Apparently he has a way of telling. Instead of fighting the wind, he used it to move with the wind. He "entrusted" on impulse wind to go forward. So, in fact he was not flying, but flying at high altitudes. Drift rather than by its own power, but wind encouragement.

 

When the wind hit the difficulties of life, whether our response? Complaining, plaintive, furious, angry, yelling, accusing other people, blame God, it is prevalent. We fight with our own strength. And useless. We're going to burnout. Panting and frustrated. The growing difficulties it should be a "vehicle" for the more we surrender, entrust themselves to God's guidance. Allow His Spirit brings us to "drift" in the middle of a gust of wind problems - PAD

INILAH.COM, Jakarta- Menemukan dua kuning telur saat sarapan sering dianggap keberuntungan. Namun seorang kakek di Inggris sangat kaget saat memecah telur, malah muncul telur.

Pensiunan petani John Fellow, 68, ingin membuat masakan telur saat memecahkan telur yang tampak lebih besar dari ukuran telur ayam biasa. Namun, saat ia membuka pecahan telur secara hati-hati, Fellow melihat telur ukuran lebih kecil di dalamnya.

Fellow mengaku ini adalah telur pertama di dalam telur yang pernah ia lihat, sehingga akan menjaganya untuk dipamerkan ke anak cucu.

"Ini sangat menakjubkan. Saya sedang membuat masakan dari telur untuk srapan dan menggunakan telur biasa yang saya beli di toko dekat jalan. Ukuran telur cukup besar, satu setengah lebih besar dari ukuran normal. Makanya, saya pikir ada dua kuning telur. Namun, saya melihat telur kecil di dalamnya," kata Fellows, kakek dari empat cucu yang tinggal di Weymouth, Dorset, Inggris.

Kepala Penasihat Unggas Serikat Petani Nasional Inggris, Robert Newbery mengatakan keberadaan telur ganda itu adalah 'keunikan alam' dan aman untuk dimakan. "Saya belum pernah mendengar sebelumnya namun ini sangat tidak biasa."

Kemungkinan besar, induk ayam memiliki gangguan saat memproduksi telur sehingga, jika mereka merasa ketakutan yang nyata, ini akan mempengaruhi kondisi telur, kata Newbery lagi. "Ini adalah kekhasan dari Ibu Alam."

"It's so amazing. I'm making a dish of eggs for srapan and use regular eggs that I bought in a shop near the road. Egg size is large, one-half larger than normal size. So, I think there are two egg yolks. However, I see the little egg in it, "said Fellows, the grandfather of four grandchildren who live in Weymouth, Dorset, England.

Chief Advisor of the National Farmers' Union British Poultry, Robert Newbery said the existence of multiple eggs that are "unique nature" and safe to eat. "I've never heard of before but this is highly unusual."

Most likely, the hen has a disorder when producing eggs, so, if they feel a real fear, this will affect the condition of eggs, said Newbery again. "It is a peculiarity of Mother Nature."

Douglas Russell of the Natural History Museum said, "Eggs in the egg has attracted scientific attention for hundreds of years. Many theories try to explain."

UNTUNG

 

Bacaan : 2 Korintus 12:1-10

Setahun: Ulangan 12-14

Nats: Kita tahu sekarang bahwa Allah turut bekerja dalam segala sesuatu untuk mendatangkan kebaikan bagi mereka yang mengasihi Dia (Roma 8:28)

 

Suatu hari, ketika tengah menyiram tanaman di halaman depan rumahnya, Bu Waluyo terpeleset. Ia jatuh terduduk. Lututnya memar. Katanya, "Untung cuma memar, tidak sampai keseleo." Kali lain, Pak Amat yang tengah berjalan-jalan pagi terserempet oleh sepeda motor. Tubuhnya sampai jatuh terjerembab ke trotoar. Akibatnya, tangan dan kakinya terluka cukup parah. Dan, ia sempat dirawat inap semalam dirumah sakit. Katanya, "Untung cuma tangan dan kaki yang luka, tidak sampai kepala."

    

Berprinsip "untung" tentu saja baik. Dengan begitu, setidaknya orang tidak akan terus menyesali "kesialannya". Akan tetapi, dalam terang iman ada alasan yang lebih baik. Kita beruntung bukan karena tidak mengalami kejadian yang lebih buruk, tetapi karena kita meyakini bahwa di dalam segala hal Allah turut bekerja untuk mendatangkan kebaikan. Entah hal pahit atau manis, duka atau suka, Allah pasti dapat memakainya demi kebaikan kita.

 

Secara akal, kita bisa bertanya demikian, "Bagaimana mungkin kepahitan dan penderitaan bisa menjadi kebaikan?" Namun jangan lupa, kuasa Allah kita yang dahsyat melampaui segala perhitungan akal manusia. Paulus meresapi betul prinsip iman ini dalam hidupnya. Itulah sebabnya ia tidak pernah undur, bahkan dalam kelemahan fisiknya, atau juga dalam setiap penderitaan dan ancaman yang harus diterimanya. Dalam segala keadaan, ia tidak pernah kekurangan pengharapan. Seperti dikatakannya, "Karena itu aku senang dan rela di dalam kelemahan, di dalam siksaan, di dalam kesukaran, di dalam penganiayaan dan kesesakan oleh karena Kristus. Sebab jika aku lemah, maka aku kuat" (ayat 10) --AYA

 

DALAM IMAN TIDAK ADA ALASAN UNTUK BERHENTI BERPENGHARAPAN

2 Korintus 12:1-10

1  Aku harus bermegah, sekalipun memang hal itu tidak ada  faedahnya, namun demikian aku hendak memberitakan  penglihatan-penglihatan dan penyataan-penyataan yang kuterima dari Tuhan.

2  Aku tahu tentang seorang Kristen; empat belas tahun yang lampau--entah di dalam tubuh, aku tidak tahu, entah di luar  tubuh, aku tidak tahu, Allah yang mengetahuinya--orang itu  tiba-tiba diangkat ke tingkat yang ketiga dari sorga.

3  Aku juga tahu tentang orang itu, --entah di dalam tubuh entah di   luar tubuh, aku tidak tahu, Allah yang mengetahuinya--

4  ia tiba-tiba diangkat ke Firdaus dan ia mendengar kata-kata yang  tak terkatakan, yang tidak boleh diucapkan manusia.

5  Atas orang itu aku hendak bermegah, tetapi atas diriku sendiri  aku tidak akan bermegah, selain atas kelemahan-kelemahanku.

6  Sebab sekiranya aku hendak bermegah juga, aku bukan orang bodoh  lagi, karena aku mengatakan kebenaran. Tetapi aku menahan  diriku, supaya jangan ada orang yang menghitungkan kepadaku  lebih dari pada yang mereka lihat padaku atau yang mereka dengar dari padaku.

7  Dan supaya aku jangan meninggikan diri karena  penyataan-penyataan yang luar biasa itu, maka aku diberi suatu  duri di dalam dagingku, yaitu seorang utusan Iblis untuk  menggocoh aku, supaya aku jangan meninggikan diri.

8  Tentang hal itu aku sudah tiga kali berseru kepada Tuhan, supaya  utusan Iblis itu mundur dari padaku.

9  Tetapi jawab Tuhan kepadaku: "Cukuplah kasih karunia-Ku bagimu, sebab justru dalam kelemahanlah kuasa-Ku menjadi sempurna."  Sebab itu terlebih suka aku bermegah atas kelemahanku, supaya  kuasa Kristus turun menaungi aku.

10  Karena itu aku senang dan rela di dalam kelemahan, di dalam  siksaan, di dalam kesukaran, di dalam penganiayaan dan kesesakan oleh karena Kristus. Sebab jika aku lemah, maka aku kuat.

PROFIT

 

READ: 2 Corinthians 12:1-10

Nats: We know now that God works in all things for good to those who love Him (Romans 8:28)

 

One day, when it was watering the plants in his front yard, Mrs. Waluyo slip. He sat down. Her knees were bruised. He said, "Lucky just bruised, not until the sprain." Another time, Mr. Amat who was a walk in the morning terserempet by motorcycle. His body fell to the pavement until the fall. As a result, hands and legs hurt pretty badly. And, he was hospitalized overnight in the hospital. He said, "Thank God only hands and feet that hurt, not to the head."

    

Principled "profit" of course good. That way, at least people will not continue to regret the "misfortune". However, in the light of faith there are better reasons. We are lucky not because of not having a worse incident, but because we believe that in all things God works for good. Whether it bitter or sweet, sorrow or love, God can certainly use it for our good.

  

By reasonable, we can ask this, "How can the bitterness and suffering can be good?" But do not forget, we are the mighty power of God transcends all human reason calculations. Paul pervading true principles of this faith in his life. That's why he never retreat, even in his physical weakness, or also in every suffering and threats that must be received. In all circumstances, he never lacked hope. As he says, "Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in torment, in hardships, in persecution and distresses for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong" (v. 10) - AYA

 

IN FAITH NO REASON TO STOP hopeless

1 I must boast, even if indeed it did not do good, however I will preach the visions and revelation-revelation that I received from God.

2 I know a man in Christ fourteen years ago - whether in the body, I do not know, either outside the body, I do not know, God knows - the man suddenly raised to the third level of heaven.

3 I also know that this man - whether in the body somewhere outside the body, I do not know, God knows -

4 he was suddenly taken up into Paradise and he heard the words unsaid, that should not be spoken man.

5 The person that I want to boast, but for myself I will not boast, in addition to the weakness-weakness.

6 For if I want to boast too, I'm not a fool anymore, because I tell the truth. But I restrained myself, so that no one should menghitungkan me more than they see me or they hear from me.

7 And lest I should exalt himself because of the revelation-the revelation that extraordinary man, and I was given a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should elevate themselves.

8 Of that I have three times cried out to God, that messenger of Satan it back from me.

9 But the Lord answered me: "My grace is sufficient for you, because even in my power kelemahanlah be perfect." Therefore I will boast all the prior like weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in torment, in hardships, in persecution and distresses for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Cadangan Kekuatan Rohani

 

Bacaan hari ini: Ulangan 8

Ayat mas hari ini: Tetapi haruslah engkau ingat kepada TUHAN, Allahmu, sebab Dialah yang memberikan kepadamu kekuatan untuk memperoleh kekayaan, dengan maksud meneguhkan perjanjian yang diikrarkan-Nya dengan sumpah kepada nenek moyangmu, seperti sekarang ini. (Ulangan 8:18)

Bacaan Alkitab Setahun: Ulangan 6-8

 

Seorang mahasiswi bimbingan skripsi saya datang dengan muka sembab dan mata merah. Tampaknya ia habis menangis. Ketika saya tanya apa yang terjadi, ia menjawab bahwa seluruh tulisan yang seharusnya hendak ia konsultasikan kepada saya, terhapus oleh virus di persewaan komputer. Saya mencoba menenangkan hatinya dan memberinya waktu lebih untuk mengetik ulang. Sebelum ia pergi, saya mengingatkannya untuk menduplikasi failnya di beberapa tempat dan menyimpannya dengan baik. Ia harus punya cadangan data.

 

Perbuatan-perbuatan Tuhan kepada nenek moyang Israel pada masa lalu selalu disimpan dalam ingatan mereka dan dicatat, untuk kemudian diteruskan oleh bangsa Yahudi kepada keturunan mereka. Pengalaman masa lalu ketika Tuhan pernah menuntun mereka keluar dari Mesir, melewati Sinai, dan memasuki Kanaan, merupakan cadangan kekuatan rohani yang—jika diingat kembali—akan menguatkan generasi yang tidak mengalami langsung kejadian-kejadian tersebut (ayat 11). Selain itu, ingatan akan kedahsyatan Tuhan akan membuat Israel tidak memegahkan diri atas kebesaran yang mereka capai, tetapi hanya karenaTuhan (ayat 17,18).

 

Kita tak boleh lupa menyimpan cadangan kekuatan rohani. Cadangan yang berisi pengalaman dan kemenangan rohani bersama Tuhan adalah "fail" yang patut disimpan di ingatan dan catatan. Maka, penting jika setiap kali selesai berwaktu teduh, kita menuliskan hal-hal yang penting untuk diingat. Hingga ketika hidup jadi berat, ingatan dan catatan itu akan memberi kekuatan rohani saat dibaca kembali.

 

INGAT-INGATLAH KEBAIKAN TUHAN

KALA KITA MENCARI KEKUATAN DI TENGAH PERGUMULAN

Ulangan 8:1-20

8:1 "Segenap perintah, yang kusampaikan kepadamu pada hari ini, haruslah kamu lakukan dengan setia, supaya kamu hidup dan bertambah banyak dan kamu memasuki serta menduduki negeri yang dijanjikan TUHAN dengan sumpah kepada nenek moyangmu.

8:2 Ingatlah kepada seluruh perjalanan yang kaulakukan atas kehendak TUHAN, Allahmu, di padang gurun selama empat puluh tahun ini dengan maksud merendahkan hatimu dan mencobai engkau untuk mengetahui apa yang ada dalam hatimu, yakni, apakah engkau berpegang pada perintah-Nya atau tidak.

8:3 Jadi Ia merendahkan hatimu, membiarkan engkau lapar dan memberi engkau makan manna, yang tidak kaukenal dan yang juga tidak dikenal oleh nenek moyangmu, untuk membuat engkau mengerti, bahwa manusia hidup bukan dari roti saja, tetapi manusia hidup dari segala yang diucapkan TUHAN.

8:4 Pakaianmu tidaklah menjadi buruk di tubuhmu dan kakimu tidaklah menjadi bengkak selama empat puluh tahun ini.

8:5 Maka haruslah engkau insaf, bahwa TUHAN, Allahmu, mengajari engkau seperti seseorang mengajari anaknya.

8:6 Oleh sebab itu haruslah engkau berpegang pada perintah TUHAN, Allahmu, dengan hidup menurut jalan yang ditunjukkan-Nya dan dengan takut akan Dia.

8:7 Sebab TUHAN, Allahmu, membawa engkau masuk ke dalam negeri yang baik, suatu negeri dengan sungai, mata air dan danau, yang keluar dari lembah-lembah dan gunung-gunung;

8:8 suatu negeri dengan gandum dan jelainya, dengan pohon anggur, pohon ara dan pohon delimanya; suatu negeri dengan pohon zaitun dan madunya;

8:9 suatu negeri, di mana engkau akan makan roti dengan tidak usah berhemat, di mana engkau tidak akan kekurangan apapun; suatu negeri, yang batunya mengandung besi dan dari gunungnya akan kaugali tembaga.

8:10 Dan engkau akan makan dan akan kenyang, maka engkau akan memuji TUHAN, Allahmu, karena negeri yang baik yang diberikan-Nya kepadamu itu.

8:11 Hati-hatilah, supaya jangan engkau melupakan TUHAN, Allahmu, dengan tidak berpegang pada perintah, peraturan dan ketetapan-Nya, yang kusampaikan kepadamu pada hari ini;

8:12 dan supaya, apabila engkau sudah makan dan kenyang, mendirikan rumah-rumah yang baik serta mendiaminya,

8:13 dan apabila lembu sapimu dan kambing dombamu bertambah banyak dan emas serta perakmu bertambah banyak, dan segala yang ada padamu bertambah banyak,

Spiritual Power Backup

 

Readings today: Deuteronomy 8

Verse mas today: But thou shalt remember the Lord your God, for He Who gave thee power to get wealth, with the professed purpose of confirming his agreement with an oath to your fathers, as it is today. (Deuteronomy 8:18)

A student thesis guidance I came up with a swollen face and red eyes. Apparently she had been crying. We must not forget to save a backup of spiritual strength. Backup that contains the experiences and spiritual triumph with the Lord is the "fail" that should be stored in memory and notes. It is thus important if after each timed shady, we write stuff that's important to remember. Until when life become heavy, memory and notes it will give spiritual strength when read back.

8:1 "All the commandments, which I command thee this day, should you do with the faithful, that ye may live and multiply and you enter and occupy the land which the Lord promised by oath to your fathers.

8:2 Remember the whole journey that you're doing the will of the LORD thy God in the wilderness for forty years with the intention of lowering your heart and tempt you to know what is in your heart, that is, if you hold on to His commandments or not.

8:3 So He humbled your heart, leave you hungry and gave you manna to eat, you do not know and who are also not recognized by your fathers, to make you understand, that man shall not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything which the Lord said .

8:4 is not a bad clothes on your body and your feet are not to be swollen for forty years.

8:11 Be careful, lest thou forget the LORD thy God, to not keep the commandments, His laws and statutes, which I command thee this day;

8:13 and when your herds and flocks multiply and Thy silver and gold multiply, and all that is in you multiply,

8:14 Do not you proud, that you forget the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt, out of the house of slavery,

8:15 and that leads you through the wilderness of the great and terrible, with a fierce snakes and scorpions and the land is barren, with no water. He who makes the water out to you from the mountain rock,

8:16 and that the wilderness gives you eat manna, which is not recognized by your ancestors, so denigrated his heart and his tempted thee, only to do good to you eventually.

8:17 So do not say in thine heart, my power and strength tangankulah that makes me get this wealth.

8:19 But if you completely forget the LORD your God and follow other gods, worship him and worship him, I testify against you this day, that ye shall surely perish;

Putri Ayu, Sebut Nama Yesus Di Depan Jutaan Orang

Reformata Tabloid - SUASANA begitu mencekam, semua mata di studio terfokus ke panggung. Suasana menegangkan  begitu terasa di studi salah satu TV swasta tersebut.

Mungkin ketegangan tersebut pun terasa  oleh puluhan ribu bahkan jutaan pemirsa yang saat itu menyaksikan acara tersebut, sebuah acara ajang pencarian bakat. Di panggung tersebut berdiri seorang gadis cantik nan ayu di antara beberapa orang pria. Suasana menegangkan itu disebabkan bahwa pada saat itu akan diumumkan siapa yang menjadi juara di ajang berjudul: Indonesia Mencari Bakat tersebut.

Gadis cantik tersebut adalah Putri Ayu. Seorang gadis kecil mungil namun memiliki kemampuan bernyanyi yang begitu besar. Walaupun suasana saat itu begitu tegang, namun ia yang adalah salah satu peserta acara tersebut justru terlihat tenang dengan senyum kecilnya. Ia tampak begitu siap dengan hasil apa pun yang nantinya diumumkan. Walaupun pastinya tersimpan harapan kecil di dalam hatinya menjadi juara di acara tersebut. Namun senyuman yang ada pipi gadis bernama lengkap Putri Ayu Silaen ini seolah menunjukan bahwa ia sudah begitu mengucap syukur atas prestasinya sejauh ini. Senyuman itu semakin melebar ketika hasil pilihan pemirsa diumumkan.

Ternyata Putri  menempati posisi kedua. Beberapa pendukungnya mungkin kecewa. Namun kekecewaan  tidak sedikit pun terlihat di raut wajah cantiknya. Satu hal yang membuat para penggemarnya lebih berbangga adalah ia justru seolah merayakan pengumuman tersebut dengan ekspresi kegembiraan dan ucapan selamat kepada yang juara. Sebuah pernyataan menarik pun keluar dari mulutnya, saat ditanyai mengenai siapa yang paling berjasa mengantarnya pada posisinya tersebut, yang pertama kali ia ungkapkan adalah sebuah nama yang begitu berarti baginya, Tuhan Yesus Kristus. Ada banyak orang bahkan tidak berani atau malu untuk menyebut nama Tuhan Yesus Kristus.

Apa yang ia lakukan pada pengumuman acara tersebut adalah salah satu dari kesaksian hidupnya lewat bakat yang diberikan Tuhan kepadanya. Ia mengaku bahwa bakat tersebut telah ia miliki sejak ia kecil dan sejak kecil pulalah ia sudah sering memperoleh prestasi di bidang seni tarik suara. Pada waktu duduk di bangku taman kanak-kanak ia bahkan memperoleh juara tiga untuk tingkat Kotamadya Medan. Bakat tersebut pun ia tidak sia-siakan begitu saja dengan bernyanyi dari satu pentas ke pentas lainnya. Selain meyalurkan hobi dan bakat bernyanyinya, putri bungsu dari empat bersaudara ini juga aktif dalam pelayanan tarik suara di  HKBP Tanjung Sari, Medan. Bersama kakaknya, Refina Silaen, mereka bersama-sama mengambil pelayanan dalam bidang puji-pujian. Memang talenta yang diberikan kepadanya tampak terlihat juga pada kemampuan kakaknya. Ini dapat terlihat bahwa dalam acara tersebut Putri sempat berduet dengan kakaknya yang juga memiliki suara indah.

Menurut pengakuannya, sebagian besar orang mungkin mengenalnya sebagai penyanyi seriosa. Akan tetapi sesungguhnya menekuni genre musik ini bukanlah sesuatu yang telah ditekuninya lama, melainkan bisa dibilang "dadakan". Sebelumnya ia adalah seorang penyanyi dengan genre suara pop, namun karena ia dipilih untuk mewakili Sumatera Utara untuk sebuah lomba seriosa, iapun mencoba belajar dan menekuninya. Tidak lama belajar, Putri cukup mampu mengembangkan kemampuan vokalnya dalam genre musik ini. Ia memiliki daya nalar seni yang cukup baik dalam menyerap setiap ilmu musik yang diterimanya. Hal ini dibenarkan oleh guru vokalnya, Ibu Purba. Menurut guru vokal Putri, genre musik seriosa adalah sebuah genre yang memiliki kesulitan tersendiri, namun Putri dapat dengan cepat belajar untuk menyenandungkan lagu-lagu dengan gaya seriosa.

Putri mengakui bahwa kegiatannya kini semakin padat dan menguras tenaga, namun ia menikmati dan berusaha menjalankan aktifitasnya dalam berlatih bernyanyi, pementasan serta sekolah tanpa mengesampingkan salah satu dari kegiatannya tersebut. Ia juga mengakui, bahwa memang waktu bertemu dengan teman sekolahnya memang berkurang, namun ia tetap mensyukuri waktu-waktu yang ia jalani kini. Gadis kelahiran Sibolga, Sumut 24 Mei 1997 ini berharap dapat memberikan yang terbaik atas apa yang diberikan kepadanya, baik itu di rumah, di sekolah, maupun di dunia hiburan nantinya. Ia berharap dengan memberikan yang terbaik ia dapat memberikan sebuah karya yang dapat diterima oleh para penikmat hiburan.

Menurut ibunda Putri Ayu, Zusana Elfrida Pangaribuan, di balik kesibukannya selama ini, putri adalah seorang yang sangat aktif dalam pelayanan di gereja. Namun di balik kesibukannya tersebut Putri tetaplah seorang anak bungsu yang terkadang juga memiliki sifat manja dan gemar bermain. Hal itu tentu tidak akan mudah dibayangkan jika melihat betapa anggun dan menawannya Putri di atas panggung saat membawakan lagu-lagu merdunya. Gadis yang hobi berenang ini pun ternyata menyimpan satu sifat yang terkadang membuat orang-orang di rumahnya terkadang kesal. Ia mungkin begitu anggun dan tenang saat berada di atas panggung, namun menurut pengakuan Refina, kakaknya, Putri adalah seorang yang cerewet di rumah. Namun Refina begitu dekat dengan Putri, karena memang tidur sekamar, mereka biasa saling bercerita tentang apa yang mereka hadapi masing-masing. Begitu dekatnya kedua kakak beradik ini, sampai-sampai Putri membalas kakaknya yang menyebut Putri dengan sebutan cerewet. Tidak mau kalah ia menyebut kakaknya adalah seorang yang "lama". "Semua pekerjaan yang dilakukan lama, mengambil sesuatu lama, mau berangkat lama, semuanya serba lama", ujar Putri dengan gaya santainya. (Jenda Munthe)
